It's Halloween!

Oh how I love this time of year! Fall is by far my favorite. Especially with the weather cooperating as much as it has been. It's been gorgeous outside! Madeline is doing so well in school. She's been moved into the second highest reading group in the 2nd grade class! We're so proud of her! She's really enjoying school this year and the all day schedule hasn't slowed her down. She's in an art class on Tuesdays from 3-4:30 and then in ballet from 5-6. She's still doing soccer two days a week until November 8th. There have been Halloween parties, and birthday parties and the pumpkin patch and all sorts of events taking up all that free time outside of school.
She attended the Jr. Dance Clinic my team puts on a few times a year. Her class did a dance to Boot Scootin' Boogy. We had 76 kids show up which turned into a huge fundraiser for our team!

I took Madeline to the pumpkin patch by myself... big mistake... A pregnant woman has a hard time carrying a 25 pound pumpkin when she already has one growing in her mid section. We made it though and had some laughs about how silly I looked carrying the thing. I look as huge as the pumpkin! A very nice guy stopped me and carried it to the car that was parked way the heck across the other side of the farm.

Madeline won't be with us on Halloween this year so she's had a great time going to all the parties and wearing different costumes. Last Friday one of the moms organized a bowling Halloween party for the 1st graders. She wore her bumble bee costume from 2 years ago! Her ballet class had a party on Tuesday where she wore a cheerleader costume. She has pumpkin tights and hair goodies she'll wear on Friday with her school uniform.

She's getting pretty excited about Libby getting here. She spends time in Libby's room organizing her things and "breaking in" her new toys. She's practicing to be a good big sister and I'm sure Libby will think so too!
